Ana Anton-Solana

Ana Anton-Solanas is a Senior Scientist and a Registered Dietitian at the GSK Human Performance Lab where she works on both applied nutrition and bone health research and supporting elite teams and athletes.  Ana has worked with a wide range of athletes in different sports, including ultra-endurance and exploration. She supported ultra-cyclist Shu Pillinger, as a team nutritionist,  in her successful attempt to become the first British female to complete Race Across America (RAAM).  The two main areas of interest of Ana’s research are bone health and nutrition and ultra-endurance.

Prior to joining the GSK Human Performance Lab, Ana worked as an Assistant Lecturer at the University of Navarra (Spain) and has experience in both industry and clinical nutrition. She completed a MSc. in Sports Nutrition at Oxford Brookes University in 2011 and is now working towards her PhD in nutrition and bone metabolism.
